Current Commander: General Wedge Antilles

Rouge Squadron was brought into being shortly after the Battle of Yavin. It was a squadron of the fastest, most elite, the best X-Wing pilots. Amoung it's first members were the only two X-Wing pilots to make it back from the Battle of Yavin: Luke Skywalker and Wedge Antilles. It's origional Commander was Commander Narra. When the Rebels relocated to Hoth Commander Narra broke off from Rouge Squadron to fly s short mission with Renegade Flight. Thier mission: bring needed supplies to the new Rebel base. Narra was eager to get back to the Rouges but thier mission came under Imperial fire and Narra was killed along with most of Renegade Flight, just off Derra IV. His death bumped Luke Skywalker up to Commander. During the mad escape off Hoth Rouge Squadron's roll was to protect the base until everyone had been evacuated. They managed to take down several AT-ATs during the Battle of Hoth loseing only Dak, Luke's gunner, and Zev and his gunner.
